This necklace is symbolic of change. It was designed during the George Floyd uprising where marginalised groups were protesting and speaking up about discrimination and injustices placed upon indigenous peoples and those of colour.
While we have no control over the actions of others, there is one thing we can do. We can decide what type of person we want to be. We can decide we want to be an influence for good.
Despite the ignorance and harmful actions of others, we can decide that we are going to become better versions of ourselves everyday. We have the power to make positive change. When you see this necklace, let it be reminder that in order to make the world a better place, the change starts with you.xx
The koru represent development and growth. The lines around the outside koru represent our positive energy vibrating out into the world. Surrounding the middle koru are designs that represent the distraction and noise of others in the world. The central lines represent you- standing firm and strong, blocking out the distraction and focusing on becoming your best self.
